How I work
I’ve built my approach on presence.
My goal is always to keep you grounded in the moment, not pulled out of it. I’ll give you clear direction when it’s right, and sometimes you’ll forget I’m even there.
I know how easy it is to lose track of everything you’re experiencing on such big, full days. Time flies! I’m able to come in from the outside with a steady eye to grab all the moments that might slip by. I pay attention to your people and your story so the photos and videos we gather are personal, bringing you back to the moment.
I create narrative galleries, filled with close up detail, beautiful portraits, and wide sweeping shots that make it possible to share your memory with generations of friends and family to come.
What it actually looks like:

No hour-based packages. I don’t leave until I’ve captured images that reflect the love between you and your partner. It’s not just about checking off a shot list, it’s about getting the image.

No one gets left out. Making your guest list was a big deal. If someone is important enough to be at your wedding, they’re important enough to be remembered. My goal is to get great footage of each person laughing, dancing, crying, or having a great time.

Your VIPs are my VIPS. Part of what makes a wedding so special and memorable is getting to see all your most beloved people all together. That’s important to my work. I’ll make sure everyone feels as central as they are, both on the actual day and in your gallery.

The focus is on preserving your joy, not shaping it. I’m always observing, I know when to step in with direction and when to document from the edges. I won’t push you into poses that don’t feel right, I won’t interrupt the fun, I won’t leave you hanging waiting for the shutter click. I know when I’ve captured the moment, that way I can let everything flow.

I make a space for you. I know how meaningful and how crucial it is to feel seen and safe on momentous days. I think this is especially for queer and trans couples. I move with intentional calm and warmth. I offer emotional safety and support from behind the lens. You feeling present in the experience is the most important part. It’s so important to me that everyone feels comfortable and confident in their day and in front of the camera.

I blend film and digital for an emotional, cinematic look. I use Super 8 film, old camcorders, and mirrorless cameras for videography. I use 35mm film, Polaroids, 2000s era digital cameras, and mirrorless cameras for photography.
Film is how the eye sees it, it always feels most aligned with the memory itself. Digital brings speed and flexibility that you want on a busy, important day. My couples tend to mix digital and film for the best of both.

It’s about you and your love. I make space for you, without applying expectation or copy+pasting poses. I’m focused on you and your experience, diffusing tensions and keeping your goals in front of us.
What sets me apart?
As with many photographers:
- I know when to be vocal and when to fade into the background.
- I know the ins-and-outs of all my cameras, meaning no situation can take me by surprise.
- I can step in as body-guard to protect your time and help you get to actually be at your wedding.
- I make room for silliness, seriousness, and everything in between.
- The direction and guidance I give make it easy to be in front of the camera, and love the images you get after it’s all said and done. Even if you’re camera shy, neurodivergent, or just not used to being seen.
But, these are all things you’re seeing on most other photographer’s pages. These are the important things you should get to assume will come with any photographer you book.
What makes me truly different is my ability to curate.
In the moment, I know what how to look at spaces, places, and people in order to get the most beautiful images. How to follow the moment that comes naturally and how to make the moment exist from nothing. After all the I-do’s and dancing, I know how to pick which images end up in your gallery and which ones don’t. I know how to edit for cohesion while also bringing each individual image to it’s best. This work of culling down both the experience and the archive is based on years of refining my taste and studying how to balance visual aesthetics with warm, imperfect, memory-making. You get my very particularly trained skills, informed by my very particular experience. And you get the promise that I’ll make every part of it personal to you, what you’re drawn to, and who you are.
