Several useful questions and their answers
About Theo
I’m Theo, a South Georgia photographer and videographer. My husband and I live on a farm in Colquitt County and I work with people all over the South to tell stories.
I’ve spent 11+ years in professional media production, honing my skills and building muscle-memory around all the particulars of cameras. The real thrill is what happens beyond the lens. I love getting into the moment, working with personal stories and finding uninhibited, alive, and naturally stunning scenes. I love capturing memories in a way that’ll take you right back to the real moment as soon as you first see it and when you see it 50 years from now.

I’ve always loved preserving memory. From old home videos, stories told around a table, and saving little scraps to add depth to a photo album, I’ve always cared about the details that anchor them. The hazy evening light, the mismatched plates, the color of the wine label can make the photos and videos feel real. It’s that feeling of presence that led to photography and makes me obsessed with capturing couples on such big days. I firmly believe that if the imagery feels like you, it’ll matter longer.
Putting people at ease is one of the factors that continues to draw me to photography and videography work. I make sure the the “awkward” couples, shy dads, wild kids, and particular stylists feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I set you up to can enjoy the process, rather than just make your way through it.

What are prices like?
I find that most clients like to mix-and-match available photo/video/film/digital options to create their ideal set. This way, you only pay for exactly what you want. By offering personalized services, you don’t have to pick between rigid packages.
To give you an idea of my rates, sessions begin at $500 and weddings begin at $2500. Find out tons of detail about offerings on the services and pricing page.
Do you sell images individually?
No! I believe it’s important to be clear and fair about pricing. If I photograph it, edit it, and deliver it, it’s yours. You won’t be asked to choose favorites or pay extra to unlock images after the fact.
Every session and collection includes all of the final images—no per-photo pricing, no surprise upsells, no galleries where you’re shown photographs you can’t keep.
How quickly will I receive my photos and videos?
I aim for a 2-week turnaround time for the vast majority of projects.
It’s important to me that you receive your images and videos as quickly as possible so you can start enjoying them!
Do you recommend photoshoot locations?
Yes! Over the years I’ve collected a mental rolodex of locations. Some are out on private land that we’d be granted access to, some are open to the public. I’m always on the hunt for more spaces that align with client’s style and vibe.
When choosing a location, I take the feeling of the space into consideration. I look for places that are beautifully lit, offer interesting shapes and framing potential, and have a feeling of privacy.
If you already have a location or venue, I love it!
When possible, I scout all locations prior to our session. I like to get a lay of the land so we can prioritize the most ideal spots and I can determine any extra lighting equipment that could come in handy.
What should I wear?
I love to consult on wardrobe and I’m available from day one to wrap to help decide what pieces are the most ideal for your shoot. The right set of clothes can change the way you feel and I’m here to help make finding that combo of items as simple as possible!
In terms of more immediate advice:
Of course, I always recommend wearing something you feel comfortable and confident in. There’s no dress code here! …but, this can feel vague and hard to actually do.
Color, texture, and fit are the primary factors I like to consider. And, I find that texture and fit outrank color. From silky, flowing fabrics to wooly, dense sweaters – how texture interacts with light contributes a massive element to the final feelings of the images.
What’s your Communication Style?
On-site, my communication style is attentive and fun. I keep the energy high and calm. I ease nerves and make sure you don’t feel rushed. I create room for you to feel comfortable.
When moments are unfolding on their own I give you space. But, I’m always there to offer clear, thoughtful direction when it’s useful.
Rather than a set of standard poses, our time together will be shaped by light, movement, & connection that are happening naturally on location. By collaborating together and with the environment, we end up with visuals that are irreplicable and distinctly yours.
How do you describe your Photo & Video Style?
My work blends a documentary approach with a cinematic eye. I aim to create images and films that hold memory, atmosphere, and a sense of presence. Just as you do.
I focus on work that feels grounded and attentive, capturing moments as they unfold rather than staging them.

I tend to edit for soft tones and a film-look, even with digital images.
